Sophie Pritchett is a remarkable little girl; born 14 weeks prematurely and weighing just 1lb 12oz, doctors were amazed at her determination to live. Sophie spent the first three months of her life in a hospital incubator, during which time she contracted meningitis and underwent major surgery to correct a serious eye condition.
When she was eight months old, Sophie was diagnosed as having cerebral palsy. Now seven years old, and despite her disabilities - Sophie has difficulty speaking, eating and walking on her own - her entire family are extremely proud of how well she copes.
One of the aids to Sophie’s development is her laptop, accessed via a specialised joy-stick. Sophie’s laptop provides access to a world of pictures, sounds, games and information via the Internet and specialised software.
So when Datacenta heard that Sophie’s laptop had broken and was beyond repair, we decided to spend some of the funds allocated to client Christmas Cards, to purchasing a new laptop for Sophie this Christmas. Here she is, showing Paul Bateman of Datacenta how to use it!
We at Datacenta wish all our valued Clients a Peaceful and Prosperous New Year!
